The nose is the central part of the human face, and is thus one of the first features everyone will see. Many people with high, wide bridges, drooping tips and large nostrils are highly self conscious about the way their nose looks and how others perceive them because of it. A distinctive nose can lend interest and even beauty to a face, many are so upset about the appearance of their nose that they are constantly worried about what people think of it. If you are one of these people, the benefits of the cosmetic procedure rhinoplasty, commonly known as a nose job, are worth the cost of surgery.
It is good to thoroughly discuss what you want with your cosmetic surgeon. He or she will know what results are possible and what alterations will look the best on the individual based upon the way a patient’s nasal bones and cartilage are formed, the shape of the face, thickness of skin and age.
The cosmetic surgeon can anesthetize patients in two ways. First, the patient can have general anesthesia, under which the patient will sleep through the entire procedure. Second, the patient can take a sedative to relax in addition to local anesthesia which will numb the nose and surrounding areas that will be affected by surgery.
During rhinoplasty surgery, incisions are made either inside the nostrils or across the septum that divides the nostrils. Scars from incisions inside the nostrils will, of course, be invisible, but those incisions made on the nostrils (in cases where wide nostrils are fixed by cutting out a section of the nostril at the base) may be visible but should be well hidden by the natural crease where the nose meets the face. After the incision is made, the skin of the nose is then lifted back so the nose shape can be altered. Depending upon the desired look of the nose, different procedures will be done. The bridge of the nose can be straightened by shaving off the bone with a chisel. Then the bridge can be narrowed by bringing the nasal bones closer together. For noses that droop down at the tip, cartilage from the end of the nose can be trimmed to improve the angle between the nose and upper lip.
Recovery from rhinoplasty can be unpleasant, as patients will have to wear a splint an can expect minor swelling and bruising of the face. Also, they will have to keep their head elevated when they sleep. Also, people who wear glasses (and don’t have contact lenses) will have to tape their glasses to their face so that the glasses don’t rest on the nose for several weeks. However, after these initial inconveniences subside, people are glad that they decided to enhance their appearance through rhinoplasty and have improved self image and self confidence.

If you want public speaking tips, what are the ten insights you can learn from former US President Ronald Reagan who was known as ‘The Great Communicator’.
The news of the death of former US President Ronald Reagan at 93 in June 2004, has
again focussed the world’s attention on both his achievements and great
communication skills.
So what can we learn about life, business and success from Reagan?
Well, after reading the tributes that have poured in for the man they called
‘The Great Communicator’, here are my 10 insights.
1. YOU’RE NEVER TOO OLD
While most people are enjoying retirement, others are just reaching the
height of their power and influence. At the age of 69, Reagan was the oldest
person ever to become president of the United States.
What do you plan to do at that age?
2. THE ‘NANCY FACTOR’
There’s a saying that behind every great man, there’s an even better women.
Reagan knew his strengths and importantly his weaknesses, such as a lack of
attention to detail. His wife Nancy made up for this and they became an
‘unshakeable and unbreakable couple’.
This highlights the power of a good relationship with a life partner.
3. A RICH AND VARIED LIFE
Reagan had a rich and deep well of life experiences on which to draw from.
The shoe salesman father, the economic reality of the 1930s Depression and
at 25, the excitement and drama of being a slick sports broadcaster.
All these experiences helped shape his values, beliefs and ability to
communicate with audiences.
4. HUMOUR AND HUMILITY
Despite the early success and attraction to Hollywood as a B-grade actor,
Reagan never forgot his roots.
On the assassination attempt on his life in March 1981, he turned to his
wife in the emergency room afterwards and said, “Honey, I forgot to duck.”
5. INSTANT LIKEABILITY
Like many people with charisma and charm, Reagan had that rare ability to
build instant rapport with people he met. He connected with people on a
personal level and people liked him for that.
How can you use charisma to build your personal brand?
6. SIMPLE CONCEPTS
While many have criticised his lack of detail and intellectual rigour,
Reagan’s great gift as a communicator was to take the complex, like a
solution to the Cold War, and make it appear simple to the masses.
Like Clinton’s often quoted comment, “It’s the economy, stupid’, Reagan was
a master at delivering simple concepts that everyone could understand.
7. HOLLYWOOD STYLE
Reagan know how to dress, network with the right people and manage his
image. Skills learnt early in the cut-throat world of the Hollywood movie
industry.
8. ATTENTION TO DETAIL
There are reports that Reagan’s reign as President was tightly managed and
scripted. So what if there were chalk marks on stage outlining where to
stand and his use of cue cards as memory joggers prior to important
meetings. His background had taught him the importance of attention to
detail. Sports broadcasters around the world are meticulous to their
approach to big matches. Reagan approached presidential duties no
differently.
These are the little things that can make a big difference to the impact of
your message.
9. THE RARE ABILITY TO MOVE PEOPLE TO ACTION THROUGH THE SPOKEN WORD
Out of the millions of presentations given every day, few achieve this goal.
Yet, I believe it should be the outcome of every speech.
Reagan had it. An online biography from ‘The New Book of Knowledge’ takes a
deeper look at this rare skill.
“As a freshman, Reagan took part in a student strike that resulted in the
resignation of the college president, who had proposed cutting back the
curriculum and the teaching staff because of a shortage of funds. Reagan
made the main speech at a rally that won support for the strike from nearly
all the students. He later said that he learned then what it was like to
succeed with an audience. His skill with audiences was to be a major factor
in his successes in later life.” (Source: http://ap.grolier.com)
10. UNFALTERING OPTIMISM
Research shows that optimism is a learned skill and optimistic people
achieve more from life.
This is the one quality I admire most in Reagan. He had it until the very
end, as this quote delivered on November 5th, 1994, announcing he had
Alzheimer’s disease, demonstrates.
“In closing let me thank you, the American people, for giving me the great
honor of allowing me to serve as your president. When the Lord calls me
home, whenever that may be, I will leave with the greatest love for this
country of ours and eternal optimism for its future. I now begin the journey
that will lead me into the sunset of my life. I know that for America there
will always be a bright dawn ahead.”

There are 3 major Blunders that can turn an investment into a nightmare. It is one’s duty to avoid these at all costs when contemplating a 1031 exchange.
Blunder #1: Dealing with a non specialized company that does not know what it really does. Check their history of TIC offerings, ask for referrals from satisfied clients. Ideally, they should only be doing this kind of transactions. Are all their properties “top of the range” commercial buildings or not ? Ask how they get listings and what are their criteria to select them. Quality properties are hard to find and sell out quickly. In real estate, quality properties remain always desirable - low ones lag.
Blunder #2: Choosing an Accommodator that has not done many, many of these transactions. This Qualified Intermediary are here to make sure all the documents and money transfers meet IRS guidelines. They are the one that will set up your LLC. Using an Accomodator with whom one has already a relationship, like a family attorney or estate planning attorney is a Blunder because they may not qualify. Do not forget, in case of bad paperwork, the IRS might send a nice bill for taxes or penalties. As bad, the whole transaction can fall through due to an incompetent or inexperienced Accommodator.
Blunder #3: Negotiating too hard on the property management company. These people are extremely important to the performance of the investment. The investor heavily depends on them to handle the day to day problems, carry the proper insurance, keep the building without vacancies, in nice condition and pay the property taxes on time.
By avoiding this 3 Common Blunders for a 1031 exchange into a tenant in common property the investment will be a profitable one. Ignore this piece of advice then beware of the “alligator syndrome” (being eaten alive by hidden costs).

Living on credit is fashionable. Indulging oneself is fashionable. Saving money isn’t.
This is a pity, as it has much to recommend it. You have more peace in your life. The end on the month is simply a date on the calendar, rather than a countdown to the next pay-cheque. Purchases born of necessity can be made comfortably. Employment becomes a career, rather than a means of survival. You can look your boss in the eye, rather than dreading his gaze.
Why? Because you’ve saved up some money.
Take the cringe-factor out of your life. Erase the dread of the small hours. Put some money in the bank! You may not be able to increase your earnings, but you can decrease your outgoings. This has the same effect as getting a pay-rise; more money for you.
How to save money?
Simple!
Examine what you spend it on.
Then, erase fripperies.
Vices: drinking and smoking are habits that kill you slowly. Save up for your hospital care by giving them up. Your lungs, liver and family will bless you.
Gambling. Gambling is folly. There are only three games the player can use skill to alter the odds even slightly; horse racing, poker and blackjack. These take years of dedicated and expensive research to get good at. And you don’t get rich. All the others will beggar you quickly if you play them. The odds are stacked against you, deliberately, by those who own the game.
Luck favours the bold, special need, or those under the protection of the saints. Betting is not brave, it’s a compulsion, and no god watches out for gamblers. Examine the feelings that surround your impulse to gamble; you will find they eat away at the energy of your life.
Food. There is food that nourishes, and food that enervates. The former is cheaper: fresh fish, fruit, vegetables, clean water. The latter is more expensive, more garishly packaged, and more poisonous: potato crisps, sweets, fizzy drinks, burgers. Consider that you don’t fancy junk food if you are sick; your body knows it takes too much energy to digest, and does not nourish.
Clothes. Do you need to buy fashionable clothes, so you can look like everyone else? If you need to blend in, fine. You can be sure the leaders of fashion don’t. They head to charity shops and buy Harris tweed and old lace for pennies. They get suits made to measure by sweated labour in Thailand. That’s how they get that ‘unique’ look. What’s that, you don’t like the idea of sweat-shops? Guess what, that’s where a lot of fashionable clothes get made anyway. It’s called ‘outsourcing’ and ‘offshoreing’.
Automobiles. Running a car in the UK costs about £5000 ($9000 USD) a year, all-in. Save, by buying a second-hand auto. Save, by buying a less powerful, more fuel efficient model. Save further by thereby getting lower insurance and road-tax.
Personal foibles: I used to buy a lot of internet magazines. These cost up to £5 each, or about $10 in USD. I found a lot of information about the internet, was already on the internet, so I stopped buying the magazines. There are very few papers or magazines worth reading. Find the few that inform, rather than titillate, waffle or distract. Visit the local library, it’s free. Drop in to a ‘Borders’ bookshop, and have a free read.
Debt. Don’t buy what you can’t afford with someone else’s money. Credit cards are an expensive way of getting a loan. Try your friends or relatives first. Your local credit union is a good option; better rates, better terms, friendlier faces. Better yet, don’t borrow. Live free. Keep away from the loan-sharks. You can manage without that holiday.
Put your saved money in a high interest, 180-day notice account. Put it in a bank different to your current one, in case the latter goes bust. Make a mental note that it’s for emergencies only, then contrive to live ’safely’.
Save up enough to last you a year and a day off work, and notice how much calmer and confident you feel!

An organically-grown subscriber list is one that’s been cultivated 100% naturally. Much like garden vegetables, your organically-grown subscriber list will at first be smaller than those whose growth was enhanced using artificial means. But the fruits of your labor, your subscribers, will also be sweeter and packed with “vital nutrients” to help your business thrive. Harvest a perfect crop of interested prospects, and weed out the feigned interest and fake number counts that make you look good but yield no real business!
Organically-grown subscriber lists are “truer” than ones that were bought or rapidly collected in mass quantities. The reason is because each subscriber is hand-selected and fresh-picked based on a high level of interest. Some subscribers may arrive on your list by chance and picked YOU out as their expert to learn from. Others, you may gather in your business dealings after networking with them any number of times. The important thing is not so much HOW you got them to click the “subscribe” button on your submission box, but the fact that they possessed a strong desire to do so.
Where to obtain organically-grown subscribers for your email newsletter?
1. Articles. By writing original articles and circulating them around the Web, you can attract fellow businesspeople who share your ideals and appreciate your ideas. Link your article to a landing page where your reader can learn more and include a newsletter sign-up box on the page.
2. Networking. Participating in online forums is the perfect way to get to know people slowly, in a no-pressure situation where folks can take their time in realizing ways you might help them to further growth.
3. Referrals. As you expand your circle of contacts, folks who walk away pleased with your services will likely recommend you to their friends and associates who may also have a need for what you offer.
4. Classified Advertising. Find a highly-trafficked, reputable site to post the news about your business, and wait for people to find you by way of their own searching. Take out an ad in the newspaper and do the same.
5. Sales Letters. Pursue a group of businesses who may find your offerings useful with an informative sales letter. In this letter, isolate their wants and needs and position yourself as having the solution. Keep the letter campaign going with follow-up mailings.
6. Volunteering. People will be less willing to pay your fees if they don’t know what to expect from your work. If you’re just starting out, offer up some of your time by helping someone for free. Sure, everybody wants to get paid, but you have to start somewhere and that’s by offering a sample of what you can do.
7. Your Website. To me, this goes without saying, but many internet marketers start off with no website, and that’s like having no home. Your business needs to take root and you must give people a place to go when they want to know more about you. Yes, your domain is literally your domain! Send people there at every opportunity, work on your search engine position, and soon you’ll be sowing the seeds of a well-tended business.

The game of golf looks easy. Just grab a club, put the ball up on the tee, and swing away. Easy!
Those of us who play the game would beg to differ.
All of us have at least seen someone swing a golf club before. But there are several people who have never even held a golf club in their hands, much less played a round.
How much sense would it make to give a golf club to a non-golfer and say, “Here you go … good luck”?
Yet that’s just what we’re doing every day when we hire new people and don’t train them in Customer Service.
Many employers assume that since new employees have seen others give good service, they should automatically know how to do it. Customer service training time is cut back or eliminated, and employers wonder why customers are treated poorly and don’t return.
The next time you’re meeting with your staff, try this exercise to illustrate how important this is.
Bring a golf club to your next meeting, and start by asking someone who’s never played golf before to come to the front of the room. (For the sake of demonstration, let’s assume it is a female.) Hand her the golf club. Then ask the golfers in the room to help coach her to properly swing the club. How should she hold the club? How far apart should she have her feet? How far away from the ball should she stand? How far back should the club go? Where should the shoulders be? The hands? The head? There’s a lot to think about.
Now that our new golfer has had all these instructions, have her go ahead and try a practice swing.
How do you suppose that swing will look?
Certainly this employee has seen others play the game plenty of times. So why does her swing look so ugly? It’s because she never had to think about swinging the club herself until that very moment. It’s one thing to watch others; it’s very different when you have to do the job yourself.
You must take the time to train the very basic of basics to each employee. Things like how to present themselves to others without being offensive, how to greet a customer when they enter the store, how to ask the right questions to uncover what they’re looking for, and dozens of other important skills. Each employee may have seen it a hundred times or more, but they may never have had to do it themselves until now.
Great customer service doesn’t just happen magically. It requires training. Tiger Woods, widely considered the best player in the game of golf today, has 3 different trainers he works with constantly. He understands the value of training. Do you?

How much firewood should I buy, and when should I buy it? These are questions that may lead busy homeowners to postpone ordering their firewood. Here are some answers from fireplace experts.
How much: There’s no surefire way to figure out how much firewood you will need for a year, but there are some guidelines for estimating. In 1998, Vermont homeowners who heat primarily with wood burned almost 5 cords; those who burned wood as a supplement to other home heating systems used just over 2 cords; and those who burned firewood only for pleasure used less than half a cord.
What’s a cord? Glad you asked. A cord of firewood is 128 cubic feet of closely stacked wood, including the air space between fire logs. The terms “face cord,” “rack,” “truck load,” and “pile” have no agreed meaning or legal meaning. In fact, Oregon consumer laws ban the use of these terms in commerce! So, a stack of firewood 4 feet wide, 4 feet tall, and 8 feet long is a cord, as is a stack 2 feet wide, 4 feet high, and 16 feet long. When buying wood, try to negotiate with the seller in terms of real cords or percentages of real cords. You can also use the examples above to estimate amounts, or you can just look at the amount he is offering and decide if it’s worth the price to you.
When to buy or gather: Firewood needs at least 6 months to season, so early spring is a great time to buy or gather your wood. Any insects living under the bark are dormant and likely to die before fall. Prices are generally down and supplies are good. Try to buy only what you will use in a year. You can carry over some wood into a second year, but it may give off more smoke than recently seasoned wood and it is more likely to harbor insects. You will find that land owners whose property has been logged will welcome you if you ask permission to salvage firewood. Loggers leave behind about 50% of each tree, cluttering the landscape but providing you with free firewood. With a chain saw, safety goggles, and a wood splitter, you can tailor your firewood to the dimensions of your fireplace while you save money.
So, if you just use your fireplace for romance and relaxation, buy a half cord of firewood each spring and let it season until fall. If you supplement a heating system with a woodstove or fireplace insert, buy two cords. If you heat exclusively with firewood, you’ll need about 4 to 5 cords, depending on the severity of your winters.

I step into my local mall, and into a leading top brand clothes store. I see a jumper I like and while feeling the soft material casually lift up the price tag - and I almost feint with disbelief. How much??? That’s more than I make in 2 days! I quickly stop caressing the fabric and head toward Big Als Unbranded Clothes Discount Centre for a sweater within my budget range (which unfortunately will no doubt look as if it were knitted by my 5 year old Niece.)
Sounds familiar? Well it really need not be this way. It actually amazes me how many people do not use wholesalers and government auctions to save money on just about anything they could ever wish to purchase. It’s possible to get regular discounts of 50% and more on top brand items just by knowing WHERE to shop.
Let us begin by looking at Government Auctions. While this article will focus on the USA and UK it’s worth noting that government auctions are held in many other countries too. A government auction is held to auction off various items (often at rock bottom prices) that the government has legal ownership of. The type of items auctioned by various government agencies include vehicles, electronics, real estate, computers, jewellery and a lot more.
In the UK, the types of government agencies that will offer up bargain goods and properties include the police and C&E - there are also private liquidation’s due to corporate bankruptcies. Many hundreds of auctions are held yearly and there are scores of bargains to be had in most of them. It’s not unusual to pickup a brand new widescreen TV at £30 or top spec PCs and laptops from a mere £200. It’s possible to learn more here:
http://www.global-ebooks.com/UKGovAuctions.htm
In the USA there are also similar bargains to be had, and the government agencies often auction off cheap land and properties in addition to the usual range of electronics, vehicles and household goods. Just some of the bargains in recent times include assorted jewellery $600 in value being sold for just $20 and an actual house being sold at 50% below its market value. More information on government auctions in the USA is available here:
http://www.global-ebooks.com/US_GOVERNMENT_AUCTIONS.htm
So are there any catches? Surely not anyone can just turn up and help themselves to all the bargains that they can carry home? Well actually, that’s just the way it is. Anyone can attend, you just need to know where and these auctions take place.
Not a lot of people realise it, but it’s also possible to pick up massive wholesale bargains, just by ordering goods from a good wholesaler. There is a lot of apprehension with a lot of people when it comes to buying from wholesalers - many people are afraid that they will get turned away, that wholesalers will only sell to huge retail stores with many thousands of dollars to spend. While some wholesalers do have minimum orders, many do not at all and will gladly accept orders from you and me. You can check out some really good wholesalers here:
UK
http://www.global-ebooks.com/UKWHOLESALEPAGES.htm
USA
http://www.global-ebooks.com/US_WHOLESALE_PAGES.htm
So there you have it - a way to save a lot of money on just about anything that you want to buy. The best thing is that you can just as easily use this information to actually make money. How? eBay is the worlds biggest auction site by far, enjoying billions of page impressions per month (and this number is growing!). People will buy and sell almost anything on eBay, and some sellers have actually made selling on eBay their full time jobs. Many of them use the government and wholesale sources to buy stock cheap before reselling on eBay at good profit margins.
Whether you’re looking to save money or make money on top brand goods and services, wholesalers and government auctions are the way forward. Find out a list of auctions and wholesalers that you can visit and then just DO IT! You may well be pleasantly surprised with what you come home with.
